FIGHTERS' COMBAT

TWO BRITISH DOWNED GERMANS LOSE ONE (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Dec. 22. The air Ministry announced that on the Western Front to-day four Messerschmitt lighters dived out of a cloud and attacked a British fighter patrol. Of the three aircraft, two of the British patro* and one Messerschmitt were shot down. A second Messerschmitt was driven down, but was not seen to crash.
