WIN FOR RODBOROUGH (F.lpp. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reccl. Dec. 26, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 23. The Australian Jockey Club’s meeting was held at Randwick on Saturday. Results:— Villiers Stakes, 1 mile. —Rodborough. 7.12 (Hickey), 1; Red Thespian, 7.12 (Lappin), 2; Mildura, 8.3 (McCarten), 3. All started. Halt' way down the straight the field spread across the track, and it was anybody’s race. Rodborough got in front and won in an exciting finish by a head, with Mildura a length away third. Then came Korimako and Rival Hit. Time. 1.363. Holiday Handicap, 8J furlongs.— Santa, 7.5 (Knox), 1; Own Folk, 8.8 (Cook), 2: Breeze, 7.5 (Waterson), 3. Five started. Two lengths; six lengths. Time, 2.33.
