FRENCH AND GERMAN NAZIS CLAIM SUCCESS (Reed. Dec. 23, 2 p.m.) BERLIN, Dec. 22. A communique issued "by the German High Command states that during an air fight between Messerschmitts and French fighting planes, one enemy plane was forced down. The German planes returned without suffering a casualty. Reconnaissance aircraft flew over Southern England.
