Hindrance to Production

“It is impossible to increase production without criticising the Government,” said Mr. P. Davies at a meeting in Pahiatua held to form a sub-committce of the Southern Hawke’s Bay Primary Production Council. “The legislation of the present Government is hindering production,” he continued. “The two greatest factors affecting production are the public works and the 40-hour week.” The observation of Mr. Davies followed a remark by Mr. F.
