FRENCH NAVY CHIEF

TOUR OF PORTSMOUTH ADMIRALTY TALKS (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 11.30 a.m. RUGBY, Dec. 22. Admiral Darlan, the Commander-in. Chief of the French naval forces, who is on a visit to Britain, to-day concluded his tour of the naval establishments at Portsmouth.

Accompanied by the Commander-in-Chief, he was shown over a motor

*orpedo boat and torpedo and mining establishment and witnessed aircraft firing. Admiral Darlan has been in consultation during his visit with the First Lord of the Admiralty, Mr. Winston Churchill, on Allied naval matters.
