CHRISTMAS TRAINS
Every available locomotive and passenger car in the Wellington administrative railway district has been pressed into service in an effort to cope with the heavy demands created by the Christmas holiday rush. Bookings during the past few weeks have been so heavy that extra trains have been arranged since the holiday schedules were first prepared, and, as one official put it, the department is not so much concerned with the demand for accommodation as with the number of wheels available to keep ■ the traffic moving.
