RESTRICTIONS LIFTED
COAL AND LIGHTING RELIEF IN BRITAIN ( Hrilisli Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.in. RUGBY, Dec. 21. It was announced to-day that the restrictions on consumers,of coal, gas and electricity have been suspended. Since the “ration" was raised to 100 per cent of last year’s consumption the sound substantial economy has been practiced by the public and the Government decided, therefore, that in the present conditions it is not necessary for the restrictions to be retained.
