Miscellaneous Gift Party

A delightful miscellaneous gift party was given recently by Mrs. Scott at her home in Fox street, for Miss Sue Ledger, whose marriage to Mr. Norman East takes place this evening. TRe drawing-room was gay with summer blooms in rich tonings, and those present spent an enjoyable time in community singing, with a break for two amusing competitions, which were won by Miss E. Ledger, the bridesmaid-to-be, and Mrs. Westmoreland, each of whom received an attractive gift. During a pleasant interval a graceful dance was contributed by little Margaret Goodyear and a clever exhibition of poi exercises was given by Aylis Clayton, another junior member of the party. The gift parcels were opened by the bride-to-be, assisted by her prospective bridesmaid, Miss Emily Ledger, revealing a varied assortment of pretty and useful articles. Felicitations \Vere conveyed in a happy manner to Miss Ledger and her fiance, who were accorded musical honours. The hostess was wearing a graceful frock of pastel pink cloque accented .with touches of black velvet.
