GERMAN PERSECUTION

PLIGHT OF CZECHS LONDON DISCLOSURES (Reed. Dec. 22, 2.40 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 21. . The Foreign Secretary, Viscount .Halifax, and the former President of Czechoslovakia, Dr. E. Benes, have exchanged letters establishing the Czechoslovak National Committee in England. Dr. Benes in a statement said it was hoped shortly to form two divisions. He added that the persecution of 'Czechoslovakia was indescribable. Germany had concentrated 300,000 soldiers, excluding the Gestapo, a portion of which was maintaining order, while others were singled out lor operations against other countries.
