FIRST FLIGHT SOON COMPANY NOW READY APPROVAL AWAITED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Pan-American Airways has finalised arrangements for the inauguration of the regular service between San Francisco and Auckland, according to Mr. Harold Gatty, New Zealand representative of the company, who returned from a trip to Suva. Mr. Gatty said the company is now awaiting final approval of the civil Aeronautics Authority in Washington, and it is anticipated that the requisite action will be taken very shortly. The flight to Auckland would be the first regular service flight, and it is expected mails will be carried both ways. All bases throughout the route are now ready.
