SEALING ROTORUA ROADS

The sealing of the Te Wairoa road from Rotoma to Lake Tarawera has been completed. Another important sealing job to be commenced this week is the bitumenising of the section of Rotorua-Whakatane road known as the Rotoma Hill. The sealing will extend from the 25-mile peg near Atkinson’s on the Rotorua side, skirt Rotoma and carry on over the hill to the turn-ofT to Fenton’s Mill at the 33-mile peg. This section of the road has been widened and greatly improved.
