WORLD BROADCAST CLEAR RECEPTION (Reed. Dec. 22, 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 21. Australia’s first shortwave world broadcast was received clearly a. nearly all countries for which the five-language programme was destined. Cabled reports received by the Minister of Information to-day indicato that Australia’s voice was brought tr listeners in Allied and neutrai coim tries and was a welcome emphasis of the Empire’s unity. The British Minister in Bulgaria reported that the reception in Sofia was excellent.
