AIR RAID SERVICE
ANTI-AIRCRAFT UNITS ORGANISATION IN U.S. (Reed. Dec. 22, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 20. The Secretary for War, Mr. H. Woodring, announced that air raid alarm and anti-aircraft units are being organised as a new arm of national defence. The decision to segregate from offensive air units is said to conform with the current popular European practice, holding it Ls operable more efficiently as a separate branch of the army.
