The Shag and Hawk Pest
The depredations of shags and hawks among trout and young birds was the subject of discussion at a meeting of the Wairoa Rod and Gun Club, when it was agreed that in an effort to reduce the number of these pests a monetary prize be offered to the member destroying the greatest number during the year.—Special.
