TRACK AND STABLE

MANAWATU RIDERS ELLERSLIE VISITORS By “Trenton” A number of visitors, including the Awapuni horses Catalogue, Beaupartir, Millament, Oragon", Clarion Call and Disdain, arrived at Ellerslie on Tuesday with a view to competing at the Auckland Racing Club’s summer meeting. Sly Fox, Blonde Princess, Rich Blood, Baran, Indian Sun and Serenata, who arrived on Monday, were on the track working usefully, and are all in good order. Not An Acceptor Young Paddon was not an acceptor for the Flying Handicap at Te Awamutu, although his name appeared in the original list of acceptances. Connections Confident On Tuesday morning, at Trentham, Beau Vite and 'Siegmund galloped a mile in 1.45, the first furlong in 13 2-ssec., and thereafter recorded very even furlongs, the first half in 53sec. and the last in 52sec. Both were travelling well at the end, Beau Vite, if anything, doing a shade the better. Beau Vite goes to Auckland in excellent condition, and his connections are quietly confident of his prospects against Beaulivre in the Great Northern Derby.
