NURSES FOR SERVICE
FIRST UNIT OF N.Z.E.F. THREE FROM AUCKLAND (Pm- Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Three nursing sisters from the Auckland district will serve overseas with the First Echelon of the New Zealand Special Military Force. They are Sister D. I. Thrown, Sister P. M. Williams and Sister W. Wall, all of whom enlisted with the Army Nursing Service shortly after the outbreak of war. All three sisters belong to Auckland, Sister Brown being a sister on the staff of the Auckland Hospital for seven years and Sister Williams and Sister Wall being trained at the same institution. Since the formation of the first echelon they have been serving at the military camp at Ngaruawahia. It is not known in Auckland how many nursing sisters have been selected for overseas service with the First Echelon. However, three from Auckland will be associated with a number of others from southern centres. . .
