SPIRIT IN GERMANY SERVICE TO STATE MINISTER IMPRESSED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. “The Germans have a national spirit that I wish we had here,” said the Minister of Lands, the Hon. F. Langstone, in addressing a meeting at the Trades Hall last evening. The Minister was replying to a question concerning his visit to Germany earlier this year. He said that while lie was convinced that, at the time of his visit, the German people did n.ot want war, the Germans absolutely worshipped Herr Hitler and would do whatever he said. They had great national spirit and would give their services freely and willingly for the State.

“Some people think there is a great following" against, Herr Hitler,” he concluded. “I only wish there was.”
