BRITISH CASUALTIES
LOSS OF LIFE EXETER AND AJAX CARE OF WOUNDED 1 (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2:50 pim; &UGBY, Dec. 17. The- Admiralty bps' issued a state : ment of the casualties suffered .on board H.MtS. Exete.r in the ’severe and well-fought action of December 13” with the Graf von Spee. It is stated that five officers were killed and ; three, wounded, and 56 ratings killed and 20 wounded. Information has been received from the British Ambassador at Buenos "fires stating, that l arrangement's have been made for a temporary hospital ship to’ be dispatched to meet the Exeter. The party on board; which will be under the charge of Dr. Petty, the senior surgeon of the British Hospital at Buenos Aires, consists of thrde doctors, a radiologist; and 12 nurses. X-ray apparatus and a complete v.atd; outfit are also being c arriei. The casualties on board H.M.S. Ajax consisted'of seven ratings killed, one seriously Wounded and four wounded.
