FARMER’S HEAVY LOSS

FIRE RAZES SHED HAY AND PLANT BURNT (Per Press Association.) CARTERTON, this day. A fire destroyed a large combination hay shed, milking sited and implement shed ol - Mr. Charles Swinn. Parkvaie, on Saturday afternoon. The cause is unknown. The owner was away at the time. Between 500 and 600 bales of hay which had been pressed a week, were lost as well as all the implements. The neighbours removed the complete milking plant. The shed, a particularly massive building constructed of heart of totara, measured approximately 66ft by 66ft.
