DECLINE DURING WAR ' ! FIGURES FOR NOVEMBER (Reed, Dec. 16, 9 a.in.) WASHINGTON. Dec. 16. The exports of the United States during November were valued at £71,765,600, which is £7,500,000 or approximately 11 per cent, under the figure for October, giving the , first indication that, despite the buying of war materials, the war is adversely affecting America. The biggest losses were in cotton, foodstuffs, and tobacco. The increased exports of aircraft and metals barely offset the losses of chemicals, tractors and industrial machinery. The import figures are expected to show a decline. It is estimated that the customs receipts will be £25,000,000 down this fiscal year.
