In a single innings match the team, indicated by A as a matter of convenience, secured an easy win. There were not sufficient men present to make up two complete teams. The best effort by a batsman was C. Fraser’s 62 runs, including one six and eight fours. A former Bay representative, W. N. Carson, Auckland, scored 33 runs for the A’s. T. White was the best of the bowlers for the B team, capturing six wickets for 2b runs. For the B team E. James was the only batsman to distinguish himself, scoring 38 runs. D. Cederwall was the best performer with the ball, taking four wickets for 22 runs. The fieldsmen were on their toes all the time, and their good work accounted for most of the opposing batsmen.
