EAST COAST CATTLE
WAIKATO INQUIRY With the improvement in feed conditions in the Waikato, graziers will rot be so anxious to unload fat cattle until after the holidays, writes a Waikato correspondent. While all store cattle that come on to the market create a good inquiry, the best demand exists for grown steers and cows suitable to go straight into the fattening paddock. Throughout this soring joung cattle have been more or less neglected. Even at this late period consignments are stilt arriving weekly from Gisborne -and the East Coast districts, and, with the improved feed conditions, it is expected that a good u-cepion awaits them. The usual yardings of beef come forward to the various centres and, with the exception of ox beef, which was slightly lower at Frankton on Tuesday, all other classes have maintained their price.
