NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN VISIT TO FORCES (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 12 noon RUGBY', Dec. 15. The Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, began his tour of the British Expeditionary force in France after lunching with the British Com-mandcr-in-Chief, Viscount Gort, at general headquarters. 'Mr. Chamberlain arrived in France by air. The afternoon was spent on a visit to the section of the Royal Air Force attached to the army. In a cellar Mr. Chamberlain saw a large telephone exchange at work. Here 1400 calls daily are dealt with and sometimes as many as 200 hourly. To-morrow Mr. Chamberlain will continue the tour. A noteworthy feature of the visit so far has been 'the warmth of the reception accorded Mr. Chamberlain by the French people.
