FLYING FILM ACTOR

MISHAP ON WAR DUTY LONDON, Dec. 3. Hero of many flying escapades for the films, Ralph Richardson was the hero of a real war drama the other day. Richardson, who appears in “The Lion Has Wings,” is now a sublieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. Although shaken and bruised after his aeroplane had made a forced landing in Hampshire, he helped to rescue the wireless operator, who had sprained his arm. The machine was “pancaked” into a garden, narrowly missing an elderly man.
