Seamen Sign Off

British passenger ships which have recently visited New Zealand have signed olf many members of their crews, because of the small number of Homewara-bound travellers offering. in almost every case the seamen have voluntarily accepted discharge trom their English articles. On one ship with a crew of over 150 men, which is at present in New Zealand waters, effort is being made to sign off about a third of the complement before tin ship .sails finally from Wellington So far about 30 men have agreed to leave the vessel in Wellington.
