Coast-Watching Units

The provision of a radio receiving set for one of two coast-watching units located in isolated spots on the East Coast was reported at a meeting of the executive of the Gisborne Returned Soldiers’ Association last evening. The secretary, Mr. A. H. Miller, stated that Mr. A. Pritchard, Matawai, had made an old set available, and that Mr. S. Ellis had repaired it and supplied the necessary parts, the set having been dispatched to the coast station. A request for another set Rad been received from the second station, and there was a possibility that this might be filled without difficulty.
