RULES FOR GREYHOUND RACING. 1. All races to lie run in heats of six dogs or nearest, with final where necessary. First and second dogs in each heat to qualify for finals, but in cases where over 18 dogs are entered for any one race, only first, dogs will qualify for finals. 2. All nominators must be bona fide members of a club affiliated to the National Coursing Association of New Zealand. Owners of dogs that are not registered with the National Coursing Association prior to competing at the meeting will forfeit ail claims to prize money. 3. The meeting will be conducted under the rules of the National Coursing Association of New Zealand, in conjunction with the rules of the Gisborne Greyhound Racing and Coursing Association (Inc.). 4. The National Coursing Association Registration Certificate pertaining to dog nominated will be required to be produced on the course. 5. All entry fees and added prize money in each race will be pooled. The 'Te Karaka Club to retain 10 per cent, the balance to be divided 50 per cent for first, 30 per cent for second, and 10 per cent for third. 6. Nominations close with C. L. Davy, Hairdresser, Gisborne, on December 20, and will not be accepted unless accompanied by nomination fees. 7. All dogs will be required to run in wire box, or leather muzzles. 8. All linaments and stimulants, other than those supplied by this club, are banned. 9. The grading and performance of a dog is taken at the closing time of nomination. MISCELLANEOUS EVENTS. The decision of the protest committee shall be final. No competitors passes will be issued. All competitors will receive refund from Secretary on sports ground. Admission 1/6.
