WON EASILY
MCCREADY’S GORGE ROSE VANCOUVER BOUT Two wrestlers, well known in New Zealand, Earl McCready and Jack Forsgren, provided the feature bout at the opening of the winter season at the Vancouver Auditorium. As was expected, states the Vancouver Province, McCready won in a common gallop when he got under way. But it was good while it lasted—which was five rounds. Jack, for a man who has been idle in a wrestling sense, took undue liberties with McCready. Fo» four rounds he punched, hacked and gouged his buddie from Amulet, Saskatchewan. McCready’s gorge finally rose to the surface, which is quite a rise for that course, if you happen to know what par is.
We in press row sensed that the end had come for Jack. We also knew that the end wouldn’t be entirely unwelcome to him either. He had worked what we all thought was more than what the union shift called for, anyway.
McCready obligingly came through in the fifth by deflating the huge bulk that is Forsgren. Poor Jack was unable to continue.
