BANKRUPT BOXER
OLYMPIAD COMPETITOR MORGAN’S LIABILITIES (Per Prosa Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Edward Morgan, who represented New Zealand at the Olympic Games in 1928 as a boxer, lapsed for want of a quorum and was adjourned sine die. The total debts were given as £252 all unsecured. There were no assets.
Bankrupt said that the only debts he owed had been incurred through divorce cases and ill-health. Of his total liabilities £ 148 13s Gd was for solicitors’ expenses and £75 8s Gd for hospital bills.
