Transport Worker’s Mishap

Head injuries were suffered by Mr. D A. McCallum, of 52 Wainui road, as a result of a mishap when loading a motor-truck on Monday night. Mr. McCallum, who was employed by the Railways Goods Road Services, slipped while working on the tray of the lorry, and gave his head a severe knock. Subsequently he resumed work, but while attending to his duties yesterday he collapsed and on receiving medical attention was ordered to the Cook Hospital. His condition this morning had shown a little improvement.
