Y.M.C.A. Party at Wairoa

A party of 62 members of the Gisborne 'Y.M.C.A. travelled to Wairoa last evening to present a gymnastic display similar to that staged in Gisborne recently. Five years have passed since the last time the Y.M.C.A held a display in Wairoa and the programme was successfully staged in the Gaiety Theatre. On account or counter-attractions tly; attendance was not as large as had been expected. Prior to their departure for Gisborne the party were the guests at supper provided by the committee organising "Miss Barker's candidature in the Wairoa queen carnival. On the journey home a break was made for a swim in the Morere bath and the party reached Gisborne about 4 a.m.
