Teachers’ Meeting

There was no general meeting ol' the Poverty Bay branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute yesterday, , blit the managing committee met in 'the afternoon. Among the items considered were housing conditions of teachers, the branch secretaries' conference in Palmerston North at the end of January, and the dust nuisance at the Muriwai School. It was proposed for the next year that two of the meetings of the branch be held away from Gisborne —one in Matawai and one in Te Karaka. An endeavour is being made to make arrangements to carry out this idea so that members of the branch who are unable to attend tlie meetings regularly may be more fully acquainted with the work of tlie institute generally.
