The “Double-header” Habit
Even in the good old days, catching 91b. or 101 b. schnapper two at a time on a handline was considered good lishing, but in these days of seine nets and trawler fleets, such luck happens only in dreams. Fishing from the launch Condette at the Hen and Chickens recently. Mr. I. A. Cromie, borough engineer at Whangarei, performed this feat not once or twice, but several times, to the consternation of the other members of the party, who had to be content with singles.
