OBITUARY

MR. WILLIAM FOX The .death of Mr. William Fox, at the age of 7G years, occurred in the Cook Hospital this morning following a long illness. The deceased had been ailing for seven years. Born in England, Mr. Fox came to New Zealand at an early age and settled in the Wairarapa district for a time. He moved to Gisborne 30 years ago and was employed at the Makaraka and Matawhero hotels. As a young man Mr. Fox was a keen billiard player, while he also took an interest in horse racing. He is survived by his widow, four sons, Mr. H. Fox, Auckland, Messrs. 8., T.. and R. Fox, Gisborne, and three daughters, Mesdames H. Patty and M. Green, and Miss Jean Fox, Gisborne. A service will be held at the residence of Mrs. R. Patty, 6 Roberts road, at 2 p in. to-morrow, after which the funeral will leave for the Taruheru cemetery.
