AFRICAN WATERS THIRD IN TEN DAYS (British Official Wireless.) Reed. Noon. RUGBY. Dec. 6. The naval authorities at Capetown announce that the German liner Ussukuma, of 7834 tons, which left Lourenco Marques before the war, has been captured by a British warship in the South Atlantic, despite an attempt by the crew to scuttle her. It is stated that the vessel may be salvaged and taken to port. She was the third German liner captured in the same region within 10 days.
