“DICK WHITTINGTON” PANTOMIME: TO-NIGHT The Drury Lane pantomime, “Dick Wh'ittingjton,” to be presented to-night in the Opera House, provides 21 hours of joyous entertainment for every memlber of the family, and includes hilarious comedy scenes, singing, dancing and spectacle. The cast is mode up of w&l'l-known adult and juvenile performers, who are supported iby a ballet and chorus of CO. The ballets and d'ance numbers were originated and produced by Maureen Keany. The proceeds are in aid of St. Mary’s funds.
SONG AND DANCE RECITAL
A song and dance recital will be given iby the students of the Poverty Bay Academy of Dancing, pupils of Ihe well-known Gisborne dancer ami teacher. Miss Babbie Scott, A.R.A.D. (Ele. Int.) London, in the Opera House on Monday. December 11. and photographs now displayed in leading business premises indicate -the elaborate character of the production. Spectacular ballot and solo dances, dainty singing numbers, lavish frocking, and unique lighting effects will be the features of the rccMal. and the highlights will be two solo dances by Miss Bobbie S-coff. New Zealand championship winner and pupil of Miss Dorothy Daniels, Wellington. One of these items wilt be presented as taught by Anton DoHn, the famous British ballet exponent, and male star of Educational 'Ballets, Limited a company embracing world talent which recently visited New Zealand for a short season,
