BOOKMAKERS FINED
WHANGAREI PENALTIES
(Per Press Association.) WHANGAREI, this day. Charles Schon was fined £IOO in the Police Court to-day on a charge of bookmaking. The police said the defendant had contributed £520 to the revenue in the shape of fines for this offence since 1930. Keith Edwards Schon, a clerk, was fined £5 and 10s costs and Ralph Shaw was fined £2 for being found on the premises. Andrew Vicko was fined £7 for bookmaking at Mangaturoto.
