LEAVING LEAGUE
MOVE BY SOVIET PARIS EXPECTATION COMING ASSEMBLY FINLAND’S APPEAL COLLECTIVE SECURITY (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Dee. 5. 2.10 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 4. A Paris message says it is learned there that Russia will leave the League of Nations. M. Souritz, the Russia Ambassador in Paris, will represent Russia and M. Modzelewski. the Minister in Berne will represent Poland at the coming League meetings. Finland’s appeal to the League over the invasion of Finland by forces of the Soviet recalls that Finland alone among the Scandinavian Powers has always remained faithful to the principle of collective security. Finland’s representative at the League Council meeting will be Dr. Rudolf Holsti, the Minister at Berne, at the head of a strong delegation. Mr. E. de Valera, who will probably be elected as chairman, has convoked the Assembly for December 12. The Exchange Telegraphs Geneva correspondent says that the Belgian representative. M. de Wiart, will preside over the League Council meeting on Saturday. The council will adjourn, after a short meeting owing to the calling of the Assembly.
