CHURCH SALE OF WORK (HeraM Correspondent.) Members of the To Kara fa Presbyterian Church held a very successful sale of work on Saturday to raise funds for painting their church. Mesdames W. Greggan, L. A. Doran, and W. M. Jones were in charge of a varied assortment of goods, which met with a ready sale, and the church funds should benefit considerably by the efl'ort. A cake competition was won by Mrs. Doran, and Mrs. A. Buckingham was the winner of a pair of fowls.
DARRIEUX AND BOYER PARIS, Nov. 1. Danielle Darrieux, the French actress, has announced that she will not return to Hollywood for the duration of the war. Her husband, a director, Henri Decoin, is a captain in the Air Force. Charles Boyer, one of the TO highest paid stars in the world, is a second class soldier billeted in a village in south-west France awaiting orders to go to the front.
