Pretty Wedding

Greentree—Holt Down of Satin and Lnco The Bright Street Methodist Church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday, November 18, when Doris, daughter o:f Mr. and Mrs. T. /Holt. Roberts road, Gisborne, was married to Frederick John, son of Mi'. J. T. Greentree, Auckland. The Rev. F. E, Leadlcy officiated at the ceremony, and Miss J. Scaly presided at the organ. Decorations of summer blooms in rich shades of mauve formed a picturesque setting for the bridal party. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a lovely gown of cream rowena satin and chantilly lace. The rucked bodice, showing a van-dyked yoke of lace and long lace sleeves, upstanding at tire shoulder and terminating in a point over the hand, was accented with sprays of orange blossom and fastened down the back with tiny satin buttons. The flared skirt was cut witli a graceful train, inlet with godets of lace. Her embroidered veil of tulle was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom, and a sheaf of white Ophelia ;oses and carnations was carried.

The bridesmaids were Miss L. Holt, sister of the bride, Miss J. Vagg and Miss N. Johnson. Each wore a charming frock of cyclamen chiffon, de-

signed with a van-dyked bodice pleated on either side into a deep bc'tka, and a voluminous skirt. A sash of violet velvet crossed at ibe back and tied- with long ends in front defined the waistline. Top-Knot of Violets

A veil of cyclamen tulle caught with a top-knot of violets made an attractive headdress, and each attendant carried a bouquet of Argentine and sweet peas, intermingled with pink and cream hcuchera.

Mr. Bernard Emery was best man, and Messrs. S. Ritchie and B. Curns were groomsmen.

During the signing of the register a vocal solo, “Because.” was contributed by Miss O. Chambers.

After the ceremony a delightful reception was held in Le Grand Cafe.

Mrs. Holt, mother of tile bride, was wearing a graceful ensemble of navy blue crepe elegance and matching accessories. Iler bouquet was composed of deep crimson roses. Mrs. C. Hacche, sister of the bridegroom, wore a becoming ensemble of London tan and green sheer and accessories to tone, a bouquet of autumn-tinted (lowers completing her toilette.

Mrs. It. Stephens, sister of the bridegroom, chose an elegant frock of navy blue floral crepe elaine, a navy sheer coat, and matching accessories. The bride travelled in a smart frock of Tyrol green, hand-embroidered in shades ranging from honey gold to London tan, worn with an edge-to-edge coat to match, London tan accessories, and furs.
