SCOOPED POOL
WAIROA BOWLERS INTER-CLUB TOURNEY VISIT FROM KAHUTIA (Special to the Herald.) WAIROA, this day. By winning the whole seven games played, the Wairoa Bowling Club succeeded in scooping the pool in an inter-club tournament played with the Kahutia Bowling Club, Gisborne, in Wairoa last week end. The green was in perfect order and play generally was very keen and of a high standard. In the absence of the president of •fire Wairoa club, Mr. W. A. Crarer, the secretary, Mr. R. Coleman, welcomed tile visitors. Replying, Mr. W. Jackson, president of the Kahutia ‘club, expressed thanks for tire welcome extended them, and added that the members of the Kahutia club always looked forward to their annual visit to Wairoa, and also the visit of the Wairoa bowlers to Gisborne. The opportunity was taken to extent a special welcome to Mr. Arthur Sawyer, one of the oldest bowlers in Gisborne.
