T. C. LOWRY
HIGHLY-RATED LEADER Fur'her indications that T. C. Lowry, former New Zealand cricket captain and sole national selector last year, was highly rated as a leader, were given by Mr. D. E. Wanklyn, chairman of the New Zealand Cricket Council. Mr. Wanklyn recently returned from England, where he saw the West Indies’ team play, and he paid a tribute to the skilful captaincy of ‘he skipper. R. S. Grant. Grant's leadership. he said, was compared in England with that of Lowry, which was regarded as a standard by which good captaincy could be judged.
