PARISH BREAKFAST
NEW DEPARTURE HOLY TRINITY EFFORT A new departure so far as Gisborne is concerned has been arranged by the Holy Trinity Church and will 'be in the nature of a parish breakfast to be held next Sunday. The occasion will be the first communion of those confirmed recently by the Bishop of Waiapu, the Rt. Rev. G. V. Gerard, and when announcing the arrangements in his sermon at last evening’s service, the vicar, Canon A. F. Hall, said he expected that parents of the newly-confirmed also would take the opportunity of participating. Canon Hall said that the idea was not new, for it had been carried on regularly by some parishes throughout the world. It was not a stunt or a pretext to bring people to church, but a sincere effort to extend the fellowship of Christianity.
