RESERVE BANK RETURN

DECREASED STERLING FALL OF £919,000 SHOWN MARKETING ADVANCES UP The Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, November 27, has been issued. The statement is balanced at £35.209,454. or £670,290 less than at the close of the previous week. The sterling exchange reserve, which showed an increase of £1,750,042 the week before, has decreased by £919,185 to £6,624,585. Although notes and other demand liabilities have decreased by some £690.000, the ratio has fallen from 30.634 per cent to 28.477 per cent. Advances to the Primary Products Marketing Department are £347,303 higher, while those for other purposes ■ have decreased by £50,000.
