NOT ENEMY ACTION
DAMAGE TO SUBMARINE REFUSE IN NORWAY (Reed. Dec. 2,2 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 1. The Admiralty revealed that the British submarine which is sheltering at Stavanger was damaged by a storm and not by enemy action. The spokesman denies any action between warships and aircraft as reported from Oslo on Wednesday. A message from Oslo states that the warships which brought the submarine into Stavanger left Norwegian waters immediately. The submarine’s rudder was damaged and she was helpless.
