EX-STUDENTS IN LEAD City batted first in their match with G.H.5.0.8. on Saturday, but closed their innings for a total ot 113, more than half the batsmen being dismissed for single figures. Wilson and Wells were fairly destructive in their bowling for G.H.5.0.8., each taking three wickets cheaply, while three batsmen were accounted for by being run out. In their innings G.H.5.0.8. were given a great start by Cederwall and Gardner, both of whom broke the half-century; but Inter batsmen shrivelled under the City attack, G. H. Stewart being particularly damaging. The ex-students, nevertheless, gained a handy lead on the first innings. Details; — CITY First Innings L. Stuart, b. Sim 4 P. H. Dow, run out 15 ■G. H.
