AMBULANCE-CHASERS
BANNED IN VICTORIA MELBOURNE, Nov. IG. Ambulance-chasing will be restricted by legislation in the Victorian Parliament, which prohibits persons going to the scene of accidents and soliciting authority to take action on behalf of injured persons. (Members said, it would be impossible to step the practice completely, but even a mention of legislation in the House had reduced it. Those who used it approached people who were not in a fit condition to discuss anything and influenced them to sign agreements for legal representation at almost any fees.
