HUNTLY MINE INQUIRY . ONLY FACTS WANTED (Per Pross Asuocintion.) HAMILTON, this day. During the cross-examination of a witness at the inquiry into the mine disaster at Huntly yesterday, Mr. J. Dowgray, of Granity, observed: “I want to assure you that this commission is merely trying to elucidate the facts in connection with the disaster, and is not after anyone’s scalp. I don’t think that is in the mind of anyone. The fact that this tragedy happened in spite of the advanced state of our mining legislation just indicates the need for watchful vigilance.
