STAFF FAREWELL.
(Herald Correspondent.)
The stall of the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Frozen Meat and Mercantile Company, Tolaga Bay, held a pleasant function to bid farewell to Mr. J. Tuhawai, a popular member of the stall' who was leaving for the N.'C.O.’s special training camp for Maori soldiers. Mr. H. Fraser, the manager, expressed regret at losing such a conscientious employee, but hoped ere long to have Mr. Tuhawai back on the stall'. On behalf of the members of the stall' Mr. Fraser presented Mr. Tuhawai with a wristlet watch and wished him all good luck and a .safe return.
.Mr. and Mrs. Sharp and Mrs. Naims have returned from Wellington after visiting the Exhibition.— Mr. and Mrs. T. McCreedy have returned from a holiday in Whnkatane. —IMr. Evans, who has .been an inmate of the Cook Hospital, has returned to Tolaga Bay.
