BLACK-OUT AT FAIR

CANCELLED BY POLICE NEW YORK, Oct. 24. The Police Department, fearing that (he crowd might not realise that it was just a game.and become panicky, cancelled yesterday an announced military blackout at the New York World’s Fair on Sunday night. An "air raid” by National Guard planes and defensive firing by anti-aircraft batteries in sham conflict will be held as scheduled, fair officials announced. A blackout, tho police department decided, might make the air warfare appear a trifle too real.
